Bethel Church, a "signs and wonders" group (I can't call it a church) in Northern California, is duping children into believing they have mystical, unbiblical powers. Small children are being taught that they can take field trips to heaven and serve as "tour guides." Because of what they are learning in programming sessions called "Children's Ministry," little ones are playing games like "raise the dead."
I hope this video angers you as much as it angers me. Whether it angers you or not, I'm not going to be quiet anymore. I will partner with my friend, Bart McCurdy, to expose Bethel Church for what it is--a tool of the enemy.
Call me a "heresy hunter" if you want (as if that were a bad thing). I'm over it already.
In the near future, I will provide a full commentary about this video on another website. Stay tuned.

And I thought it was bad when my wife and I visited a church and there childrens ministry leader said how many of the children had accepted Christ.
They are worshiping the gift instead of the Giver. It's such a subtle deception and has misled some of my Christian friends who don't see it for what it is.
This is what happens when people obey the "Spirit's leading", yet it contradicts the word of God. I was taught when I was born again in college that the Spirit's voice will never contradict the word of God. This is why it's so important to know the word of God so that we're not swayed by every wind of doctrine that happens to blow our way. Thanks for posting this.
What is the church's website so I can review their beliefs. I want to be a berean so if anyone ask me about videos similar to this I can say here is what scripture says.
This is what Bethel believes.

I'm not sure why it would anger you. Is there any less truth in this than telling kids there are sea monsters?
I would like a bit more information on this too. Sometimes when talking to people about Pentecostal/Charismatic beliefs, stuff like this gets in the way. The hearer will often times think this is what we all believe, when this is not even close to truth. I would pass out if someone in my church said they were training kids to be "tour guides" in heaven.
And, then I would have to find a new church.
Tony I visited the link about their beliefs. They do mention repentance and faith in Jesus.
However this quote raised my eyebrow:
"The victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy * sin, lies, sickness and torment."
That is an all out lie and a contradiction to the book of Job in the Bible.
For me personally when I committed my life to Christ, I received torment from the enemy in attacks in the form of a false accusation made against me years ago I had to fight a legal battle. If you are a believer committed to let the Holy Spirit live out in your life. The devil is not going to sit back and say, "Look at what the Christians are doing." He is going to counter attack within the perimeters the Lord has given him.
So that is my opinion on one of their statements on the net.

Whizzpopping: I'm missing the subtleties here. How is that so different from WoTM (baptism and communion aside)?
Perhaps your post wasn't intended for me.
Tony, this post addresses an important subject. Just wondering, what are your thoughts on the continuationist vs. Cessationist theological belief? thanks!
